Last updated: September 24, 2026
What affects the price
When planning a hardscape project, several factors influence your final investment. The total square footage is the primary driver, but the complexity of the design—such as curves, patterns, or multi-level tiers—adds to labor time. Site accessibility matters too; if crews need specialized equipment to move materials into a tight backyard, that affects the bottom line. Material choice, from standard concrete blocks to premium natural stone, significantly shifts the budget. Additionally, your current ground condition determines how much excavation and base preparation is required for long-term stability.
About this service
The paver base is the compacted layer of crushed stone or gravel installed beneath your pavers to prevent shifting and sinking. It is essential for any hardscape project to ensure long-term stability and proper drainage. Factors that move price include the depth of the excavation required and the type of subsoil on your property. This foundation work is critical for a lasting finish, with exact pricing confirmed free on the call.
